How payments work: held until delivery
Where the money goes, when it's released, and what the Money totals mean.

Free classes skip all of this: no payment, no fee and nothing to release. See Free classes.
This article describes Protected payments, the default. With Direct payments learners pay your own Stripe account and nothing is held. See Protected or Direct payments.
Learners pay by card when they register. With the default On delivery release policy, your share is held until the class has been delivered, then released to your Stripe account. This protects learners and is what lets you promise refunds if a class is cancelled.
| Total | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Held | Your net from paid orders whose class hasn't been released yet |
| Released (this month) | What was released to you this calendar month |
| Platform fees | Fees on paid orders (free tickets never carry a fee) |
| Refunded | Money returned to learners |
Release happens automatically after the grace period (24 hours after the last session by default). You can release a delivered class sooner with Release on Home or in Money → Orders.
TIP Change the release policy and grace period in Money → Settings → Release policy → Edit.
